Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Oshawa Payday Loans and our referral service. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

About This Service

Oshawa Payday Loans is a referral and information service, not a direct lender. We connect borrowers in Oshawa and the Durham Region with licensed payday loan lenders who offer fast funding, often via e-Transfer within one business day. We do not originate loans, set interest rates, or make lending decisions. All loan terms, rates, and conditions are determined solely by our lending partners.

Eligibility and Accuracy of Information

By using this service, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old and a Canadian resident.
  • You have a valid government-issued ID and proof of income or employment.
  • All information you provide in your application is true, complete, and accurate.
  • You are not applying on behalf of another person.

Providing false or misleading information may result in immediate termination of your application and referral to appropriate authorities. Lenders reserve the right to verify all details and may request additional documentation.

Credit Situations and Approval

Oshawa Payday Loans works with lenders who welcome all credit situations, including those with poor credit, no credit history, or previous defaults. However, we do not guarantee approval. Lending decisions are made by our partners based on their own underwriting criteria, which may include income verification, employment status, and banking history. Approval is never certain, regardless of credit profile.

For more information on how we evaluate lenders and their practices, please see our How We Rate page.

Use of Personal Information

When you submit an application through Oshawa Payday Loans, your personal and financial information is shared with our lending partners to process your referral. We handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws in Ontario. For complete details on how we collect, use, and protect your information, please review our Privacy Policy.

By submitting an application, you consent to our sharing your information with lenders and their service providers for the purpose of loan origination and underwriting.

Responsible Borrowing

Payday loans are short-term financial products designed to bridge temporary cash shortfalls. They carry higher interest rates and fees than traditional bank loans. Before borrowing, carefully consider whether you can repay the full amount, including interest and fees, by the due date. Borrowing more than you need or cannot repay may lead to financial hardship.

For guidance on responsible borrowing practices, see our Responsible Borrowing page.

No Guarantee of Funding Speed

While many of our lending partners offer e-Transfer funding within one business day, we do not guarantee this timeframe. Actual funding speed depends on lender processing times, your bank's processing procedures, application completeness, and verification requirements. Some applications may take longer, and some may be declined. Weekend and holiday closures may also affect processing times.

Lender Terms and Loan Agreements

Once you are referred to a lender and approved, you enter into a separate loan agreement directly with that lender. Oshawa Payday Loans is not a party to your loan contract. All loan terms, interest rates, fees, repayment schedules, and conditions are governed by the lender's agreement and applicable Ontario law. You are responsible for reviewing and understanding your loan agreement before signing.

If you have questions about your loan terms or the lender's practices, contact the lender directly. Complaints about lender conduct may be directed to the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) or other relevant regulatory bodies in Ontario.

Affiliate Disclosure
